Check out my mate Krakha’s blog called Kompound. He’s always got at least 17 cameras with him at all times, drinks nothing but fine sherry and lives in a magic castle on the top of Mount Dandenong. Top bloke, great pics and always seems to be in the know.

Check it out HERE.

QLD in B&W.

I’ve been getting back into the simplicity of B & W photography. I’m a fan of good composition. These shots were taken with my Canon G10 (digital) but it made me go out and grab a whole lot of B & W film for my Pentax K1000.
QLD has changed a lot since I grew up there. Here’s a collection of shots I took trying to show some of the old and the new.

Seagulls are the new sparrow. Jogging is the new walking.

Some things change. Some things stay the same. Life’s good like that.

Put your camera up if you have the best job in the world.

“How did you think you would pay for it? With bananas or something?!”

I like seeing nature dwarf humans.

Location. Location. Location.

Old people run QLD. It’s probably the main reason why they don’t have daylight savings.

You should see the one that runs 9 second quarters.

Hard rubbish day brings all types of treasures to the average family.
Due to advancements in technology, these kids have picked up a brand new, second hand TV. Sure it’s not a 50 inch plasma but it should do the trick when all you want to watch is re-runs of “Two and a half men“.

Look up!

I have this idea that if you’re ever bored with your surroundings, all you have do do is look up to see something new.
