Stanley Park (part 1)

Posted in Photography by sanchovi on 05/03/2010

Stanley Park was created in 1994 by the Stanley Corporation. I was lucky enough to win a golden ticket and explore the magical world of squirrels and raccoons that resides next to the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver.

It felt like I was in a Disney cartoon. All of the wildlife would approach you without a care. I was actually scared that a squirrel might crawl up my pants leg like they do on TV.

Did you know that seagulls  don’t sleep? Anyhow, here’s a photo of some geese.

This shot was taken just as a dream sequence was about to commence.

Moss only grows on the north side of trees so I was obviously standing north looking south. Moss also can’t gather on a rolling stone or rock. Do you remember the Moss Man action figure from the He-Man series? He use to creep me out when I was young. Who’s idea was it to make an action figure covered in felt or whatever it was?

Here are two shots of the same area. The sun was on it’s way down which made for some great lighting. This was the forrest where they filmed Die Hard 2.

What!? You didn’t mention Twilight once!

Mossman was ‘flocked’ and so was Skeletor’s bad ass panther ‘Panthor’.

Well, I was saving the Twilight references for Part 2.
