The Sanchovi

Maxin’ and relaxin’

The Air Max 1 is also sometimes know as Air Max ’87 as the sneaker was released in 1987.
Developed by Mark Parker and designed by Tinker Hatfield, this is the shoe that dared to be different. By contrasting bold red with clean white, the shoe showcased the first ever Visible Air unit, and boasted a new midsole foot frame, heel notch and lace locks, making the Air Max 1 a bubbling cauldron of Nike innovation.

Nike made the shoe. We made it a legend.

Ezzy does it

Australia played Mexico in the hockey a few weeks ago. I sat in front of two rows of fanatical Mexico supporters that yelled “HUEVOS!” a lot. I’m still not sure what eggs have to do with ice hockey.

Beauty in death

Posted in Photography by sanchovi on 08/03/2011

I shot this photo from a car while stuck in traffic. Everything in the foreground is dark and mysterious but on the other side of the fence, where both heros and villains from the past have found their final resting place, the sun is shining, the skies are blue and the clouds are light and fluffy. The fence and barbed wire almost make it look like an exclusive place to be.

If you’re a Melbourne local then you know that taking Cemetery Road at peak hour can leave you banging your head against the steering wheel if you don’t have either a) Metallica – Ride the lighting in your CD player, or b) Good company.

I was lucky enough to have B, and unlucky enough to have Kelly Clarkson on the radio.

While you’re sleeping

I went out to shoot a disappointing sunrise but managed to snap some shots of people who get up way too early.

Live a little, relax a little…

Booster

Posted in Photography by sanchovi on 20/12/2010

Melbourne, Australia.

I found this sprinkler booster system pretty interesting. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how everyday objects were actually designed by someone and that their time and effort is usually overlooked as we use the item or simply walk by it.

Wanna race?

San Diego, California. September 2010.

My goal this Summer is to get my motorcycle license. I’ve only ever been on  a motorcycle once. That was as a passenger but it brought such a smile to my face. Maybe it was the freedom. Maybe it was the speed. Maybe it was the fact that my flatmate was trying to pull monos at high speed. I survived and have been wanting one for about 10 years. I think 2011 is the year to make it happen, or to at least get my license. I think I’m mature enough not to kill myself. Not so sure about my younger years.

Wu-tang killah bees

Posted in Photography by sanchovi on 12/12/2010

I’ve been trying to get outside of my comfort zone lately. I haven’t had to try too hard. It seems like my life timing is no so good lately. So on a trip down to Geelong I sat for a few minutes as bees buzzed away collecting honey for the government (we all know that bees work for the Queen and the Queen owns Australia) and snapped a few shots with my perv lens. I think I got some nice shots as they flew around the Dragon Fire Pollen Lilly (may not actually be the real name of the flower).
